Finally after 365 days, it is my birthday again. This year however, is slightly different as my birthday falls on the eve of Lunar New Year. This is both a blessing and a dilemma.
Blessing is because I know that I have many siblings and they will usually give me additional red packets since tomorrow is the actual LNY, thus I will have more financial income for the month. Dilemma is because I will not be able to spend the whole day with wifey since I will need to be at home for reunion dinner.
Me and wifey woke up in the late morning beside each other. We had a good night sleep and we had spent time together since yesterday afternoon. Both of us are happy and I am really very in love with my wifey. We spend a lazy morning with wifey cooking breakfast for me and we surf the net together for a short while.

Then out of a surprise, wifey took out something from the storeroom and hand it to me. It is my birthday present. It is a big photo frame and since wifey pass it to me with the back of the frame facing me, I am not sure what it was. When i turned it to the front, I saw a caricature of me in front of the legendary Charmed house and a nice Charmed logo at the top right corner of the caricature.
Am so touched. Charmed has been my favourite TV series of all time and now I feel like I am part of the Charmed sisters' life. Wifey certainly has given me a good birthday present and I am going to hang this picture in my room such that everyone can see it the moment they walked into my room.
I had asked wifey how much he spent on this present but he refused to tell me. Since he did not want me to know, I did not find out also. Although I had provided the link above, I did not go into the link on that website that feature the prices and charges for doing caricature. This is the best I can offer my deepest gratitude and respect to my wifey.
One thing however was missing. Birthday Card. It is something which I looked forward from wifey. This year, wifey did not prepare any card for my birthday as he was busy with school and the activities from his school. I can understand that thus i tried my best to hide the slight disappointment over this. I hoped next year I get a self-made birthday card from wifey.
There after we went to buy stuff together for wifey's Cambodia YEP. We walked around the neighbourhood and bought the necessary items which we had discussed yesterday. I also bought some stuff with my own money as a donation to the kids in Cambodia. There after I helped wifey bring the stuff back before I myself took cab back home.
Back at home, I missed wifey a lot. Although I know wifey will be coming down tomorrow to my house but the feeling of lost is there. However, I also need to spend time with my family especially my siblings are planning to celebrate my birthday today. My youngest sis had bought me a present and all of them shared a big birthday cake for me.
When most of the siblings had arrived, the kids (my nephews and nieces) sang birthday song for me and I cut the cake. It has been at least 20 years since I get to cut birthday cake at home. Am feeling very happy but similarly I wished wifey was with me also. After the cake cutting, my other three sisters each gave me a red packet for my birthday and all four of them gave me the Lunar New Year red packet as well. Including mum's red packet, I have a total of 8 red packets already and I know each of them has at least fifty bucks inside them.
It was a tiring night and by around 12 midnight I had dozed off with my lappy on the chair. Wifey had reminded me to off my msn and lappy but I guess his reminder did not work out as well as we both want to.
Can't wait for tomorrow where wifey will come down to my place and meet my family again...
