Christmas Presents

23rd December 2008

It’s has only been one day and I had started to miss wifey a lot. The feeling is especially strong as I was on leave till Christmas and wifey is also on school holiday. Wifey had told me that he cannot go out too much these few days if he wants to stay out for clubbing on Friday and also stay out late for year-end party on Saturday. Thus, we are not going to meet till Friday & Saturday.

I start to focus my attention by wrapping the Christmas presents I bought in KL for my family members. There are a lot to wrap so and I practically used the whole morning to finish most of the wrapping. It was until the end then I discover that I had bought the wrong present for my youngest sister’s youngest son. It was such a headache as I would have to look for the same present again at MiniToons stores in Singapore.

Just nice that my youngest sister came over my place and is heading to Tampines, sending my nephew and her sons to tuition. Thus I requested her to drop me at Compassvale (suggested by wifey) to buy the present I needed. Should I not be able to find it there, I can continue the journey with her to Tampines to continue my search. However, she felt that it was troublesome and she just drove all the way to Tampines.

Coincidentally, the place where the kids go for tuition is very near to wifey’s house. So I alighted together with them and asked if wifey wanted to meet me. Wifey was grumpy as he was taking an afternoon nap. This irritates me as his tone of voice was so unfriendly and kind of accusing me of disturbing his sleep. I had no intention to disturb him at all and just asking if he wants to join me and yet I was been blamed and shouted at.

We were having little fights again through the phone but managed to control our own temper to prevent worsening of the condition. Wifey later agreed to meet me to go get the presents together. I waited a good 35 minutes at his void deck for him to get ready and we head to Tampines Mall together. We did not managed to buy the presents we want so we went for other alternatives. I also managed to get my mum a gift for Christmas. After buying the presents, we went Sakae Sushi for dinner and then send wifey home.

When I got home, I passed my mum her present as well as give my brother & sister-in-law (SIL) and their kids their presents. I then proceed back to my room to wrap the other presents. I had wanted to borrow brother’s car to send all the other presents to my other sisters and their kids but my SIL really pissed me off. She accused me of not driving carefully and causing a scratch line on the car. Although she did not directly said I am the one but she said I was the one who last used and they did not use the car until yesterday only.

I did not bother to argue with her and just complaint to wifey about what SIL said. Wifey was with me when I last used the car to send the Christmas gifts to FSC, thus we are both sure I am not the one who caused the scratch. I was so pissed I just took MRT down to my youngest sister’s house to pass her and her kids the Christmas presents. Before I left home, my niece (2nd sister’s daughter) dropped by to pick up her MP3 player she left behind last Saturday so I just gave her all the presents for her family and my eldest sister’s family as they stay nearby. After that, I went out of the house. When I reached my youngest sister’s place, I passed them the presents and she gives me a lift to my workplace for me to place my colleagues’ presents on their desks.

On the way there and back home, I told her about what my SIL said and she told me that SIL was lying as she had seen them drove the car out to attend wedding dinner. I also recalled that after I used the car to send presents to FSC, SIL also used the car the next day. I really don’t understand why there is a need to push all the faults to me over the car.

When I reached home, wifey called and we chatted a while on this matter before we both decided to put the phone down and goes to sleep.

“Wifey Shaari, thanks for spending time with me.”
“I Love You.”
